The Jyllean Williams Benefit Golf Tournament

Detail: A benefit golf tournament is taking place on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at the award winning Shingle Creek Golf Club in Orlando. The tournament is raising money for Jyllean Williams who was diagnosed with Mercury poisoning two years ago and has since developed Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and Epstein Barr Virus. At just 24 years of age, her life has literally been taken away from her. The symptoms Jyllean has are horrible. Her body can't physically handle being around a lot of people or toxic smells. Thus, she is basically homebound except for her numerous doctor visits. The tournament is going to be a four person team scramble format. Check-in will begin at 12 noon followed by a 1pm shotgun start. The price per golfer is $100 and includes all green and cart fees, range balls, valet parking, GPS Yardage System benefits, lunch, a hot buffet style dinner, and complimentary beverages on the course. There will also be an awards ceremony, door prizes, and a silent auction held during dinner. When Jyllean was diagnosed with Mercury toxicity, she was put on a very strict high fat, organic diet. She can only eat natural, organic chicken and certain raw, organic vegetables (those only grown above the ground). Jyllean can't use or be around anyone that has used regular fabric softeners, colognes, perfumes, candles, shampoos, etc… (only non-scented, non-toxic). She has been unable to finish her degree at UF and is unable to have a job. She also hasn't been to a family function, holiday gathering, or out to eat in years. Jyllean is on thirty-five different medications and supplements a day and also takes IV treatments. None of these medications or treatments is covered by insurance; every cost is incurred out of pocket. She wants nothing more than to get her life back.
